Bendigo Headache Clinic commits to providing the highest quality service possible.

 

Physiotherapy treatment is an effective and safe form of treatment however like any treatment there are benefits and risks.

Your physiotherapist will discuss your condition and options for treatment with you so that you are appropriately informed and can make decisions relating to treatment. You may choose to consent or refuse any form of treatment for any reason including religious or personal grounds.

At no point do we expect your headaches or migraine symptoms to worsen with treatment, but on occasions this can happen. If this is the case we will careful evaluate why this has happen and rectify the issue as soon as possible. It is reasonable to expect some local soreness in the neck region from having manual therapy in the region.

 

You have the right, at any point, to refuse treatment or seek a second opinion.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that it may not be possible to keep scheduled appointments and you may need to cancel and re-book. Please take care to understand our cancellation policy and the reason for its being:

Effect on treatment:
Missing a scheduled appointment may reduce the beneficial effects, and treatment can lose momentum very quickly. This can cause an otherwise effective treatment program to fail in its goal. This is frustrating for both therapist and patient and can mean that treatment time and money up until that point has less efficient.

Effect on other clients:
Quite often we have a waiting list of people desperate to have their headaches treated to gain much needed relief. Each appointment that is not attended is a lost opportunity to help some of these people.
Therefore at the Bendigo Headache Clinic we enforce a strict cancellation policy. If you cancel with less than 6 hours notice you will be charged 50% of your consultation fee if your appointment time cannot be filled. This fee will be payable prior to your next appointment.

A second cancellation in a row without due notice that cannot be filled will incur a full consultation fee, and all outstanding monies will require payment before any further booking will be taken.

So we ask that you carefully consider your ability to make the time to seek treatment, and make treatment a priority, so that you can help us, to help you get the most out of your therapy experience.
