How many treatments will I need?

If we believe your symptoms are appropriate for treatment, you may need to have 3 sessions in the first 2 weeks. After that it is most likely you will require 1 session in the week following. At this point we should see a significant improvement in your symptoms, before proceeding with any further sessions. Treating the underlying cause of headaches and migraines, and advising you on what you can do at home to help,  means ongoing treatments are not necessary.

This will be discussed in further detail in your appointments.

Will it hurt?

No.
The techniques are slow and gentle. There is no cracking or thrusting of your neck.
Is is expected that some spots we press may create slight discomfort, and even very temporarily recreate your headache. However nothing should cause undue pain.

Can children receive treatment at your clinic?

Yes, we treat children. Adolescents often suffer from abdominal migraines, which we can effectively address because the Vagus Nerve, responsible for digestion, connects to the brainstem. If the upper cervical spine is causing brainstem sensitization, it can lead to abdominal pain. Our gentle treatment is well-tolerated by children and can also help with migraines.

Yes, we accept third-party payments. We serve NDIS clients on plan-managed and self-managed programs, DVA clients, and those on EPC Medicare Plans. If you have private health extras covering physiotherapy, we can claim your benefits on the spot.
