What is The Watson Headache Approach?

®

Its All About Getting To The Source Of The Headache

The Watson Headache® Approach is an internationally recognised process of accurately  diagnosing and treating the cause of headaches. It is also the only manual therapy technique shown to significantly desensitise the brain stem and affect the true cause of your headache condition.

If misbehavior of the upper three segments of the cervical spine is present, which all innervate the brainstem, then correcting this has been proven to desensitise the lower brainstem.

The Watson Headache® Approach is a precise method of assessment of the upper neck. The treatment involves a series of specific manual therapy techniques, without high-velocity thrusts or cracking, involving the upper 3 segments of the cervical spine.

I am driven to help as many headache and migraine suffers as possible.

Having suffered personally from concussion and headaches, I understand how  consuming and debilitating these conditions are on both the sufferer and those around them.

I completed my Physiotherapy degree at Charles Sturt University Albury in 2009, and after 2 years of working in a musculoskeletal practice in Hobart, I moved to Bendigo to be closer to family.

I started my journey of treating headaches and migraines with the Watson Headache Approach in 2016 and after seeing the amazing results it could have, I pursued to become a Level 3 Watson Headache® Certified Practitioner. In 2023, Bendigo Headache Clinic was established as a dedicated headache and migraine clinic, enhancing the ability to help more people suffering from unnecessary pain..

Driven to continually improve my skills, and help as many people as possible, in 2024 I completed the Complete Concussions Training Course. This course means I have the most up to date skills and knowledge of how to best manage both your acute concussion, as well as persistent concussion symptoms.

I have been living and working in Bendigo for over 10 years. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my young family and playing cricket and hockey.
